warm-up

There's been a little of this and a little of that, mostly snow and snow and snow. Frost and freeze. The past January was the coldest I can remember right now. And the winter has been amazingly beautiful and magical.

I've been knitting some kind of small warm-up exercises. For example this waffle vest, with one cable. Using some random yarn from stash, I first planned a cardigan - but ripped of the sleeves when I realized how crazy-warm the whole thing was. Now it's perfect. Short, fitted and still warm. So warm.

Pattern: my own
Yarn: Novita Huopanen
Needles: 6 mm

Thank you for those sweet comments on my latest post - the pattern for Twenty Ten Cardigan is coming!

you do such beautiful work! I love your sweet and simple approach to things.

How long does it take for you to design something like this and then knit it? Do you do a lot of designing as you go?

Looking forward to more of your patterns!
